Account security and access
To protect accounts and prevent trial-credit abuse, we record successful sign-ins and their IP address, country, browser identifier and limited browser and device information. These sign-in details are kept for up to 30 days. Trial-credit refusals, review requests and administrator actions are kept for up to 180 days. Information needed for an active restriction is retained while it remains in effect. Only authorized people can access these records. A restriction does not automatically remove credits or orders or cancel renewal. You can contact support at removetext.video for a review and still access billing or cancel renewal.
How you found us
When analytics is allowed, we remember the earliest available source, campaign and page through which you reached RemoveText.video to understand which channels lead to registrations and payments. This information is kept in your browser for up to 180 days from collection; later visits do not extend that period. At registration, it is linked to your account. At registration and checkout, we also record the country of your network connection and your device, operating-system and browser types. IP addresses and browser request information used for this purpose are protected and deleted after 14 days. Channel and device information follow the retention rules for account and payment records. Choosing Necessary only clears this browser information and stops new collection for this purpose. Contact support to access, delete or restrict records already linked to your account. We do not share these connection details or your complete channel record with analytics providers. When analytics is allowed, we also remember your latest external source separately from your first source and use a random browser identifier to relate visits to registration. We record later visits, successful processing, result views and downloads to compare how users from different channels use the service, return and make purchases. Visit records are retained for up to 180 days, and these product activity and processing-cost records for up to 365 days. These records use limited source, page, device category and time information; they do not contain uploaded video content or detected text. Choosing Necessary only stops new collection for this analysis. Necessary account, payment and service records follow their own retention rules.
Account emails and cancellation feedback
We send account and billing notifications and may record email opens, link selections and their times to understand how these messages are used. Automated activity can generate these signals, so they do not confirm that you read an email. Email engagement records are associated with the relevant message and do not include IP addresses or browser request information. We stop collecting engagement signals for each message after 365 days. If you cancel renewal, we keep your account email, subscription plan and any cancellation feedback you choose to provide to improve the product.
Account, upload and processing data
You access your account with Google sign-in. We store your email, display name, sign-in identifiers, profile image when provided, session records, plan, credits and billing status. When you process a video, we may store originals, outputs, selected areas, processing settings, video dimensions, duration, frame rate, detected text information, job status, history, download records and support diagnostics.
Feedback and support messages
When you send feedback, we keep the category, message, required email address, page, language, limited connection information and a reference number. We use your email address to reply and keep a record of how your request was handled. If you are signed in, the feedback may be linked to your account; you can also submit without signing in. We use abuse-prevention services and third-party notification and email services to review and answer feedback. The form does not accept attachments. Feedback and its handling records are deleted after 180 days; copies held for email delivery are cleared after 30 days, unless a valid deletion request requires a shorter period or the law requires a longer one.
Service providers and payments
We use third-party services to host the website, store account information and videos, and process videos. These services handle information needed to provide the service. Payments may be processed by Stripe, PayPal or Waffo when that option is shown at checkout. Your chosen provider receives the information needed for payment, billing, tax, refunds and disputes. We may retain order, payment and subscription references. We do not store full card numbers.
Website usage and service records
We use Plausible for cookie-free website usage statistics regardless of your Cookie settings. Unless you have chosen Necessary only, we also use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs for usage analysis and session recording. Sensitive areas of the product are configured to hide personal and payment information in session recordings. Analytics records use general activity categories and should not contain filenames, email addresses, private links, payment references or text detected in your videos. Operational records may include limited connection information, errors and timing needed to secure and run the service.
Information remembered by your browser
Before upload, your browser may remember selected video drafts, areas, processing settings and your confirmation that you have permission to edit the video. This helps you continue after signing in or a short interruption. You can clear this information by deleting the video or clearing site data; temporary drafts may also expire.
Retention, deletion and user rights
Original videos normally expire 7 days after upload. Creating or completing a task may extend the original's expiry to 7 days from that time. Files may be kept longer while a task or its cleanup is unfinished. Free-trial outputs expire 7 days after processing is completed; paid outputs expire after 30 days. Expired files are removed during scheduled cleanup. File expiry does not automatically delete related task history, processing details or download records. Account, payment, credit and security records may be retained as needed for operations, dispute handling, tax, fraud prevention and legal compliance. You can delete eligible media in the product or email support at removetext.video to request access, correction, deletion or restriction, subject to legal and security limits.
Children, cross-border processing and legal requests
The service is not directed to children under 13 or to users below the age required by local law. Do not upload videos of minors in sexualized, exploitative or unsafe contexts. Because our providers and infrastructure may operate in multiple regions, your data may be processed outside your country. We may disclose information when required to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse or enforce the Terms.
